Justice & Equality

A justice system, a democracy, and a national contract that treat every American — and every treaty — the same.

The Problem

The United States incarcerates more people per capita than every peer democracy while posting worse public-safety outcomes. Median Black household wealth is on track to reach zero by 2053. 370 federal treaties with Indigenous nations have been violated in nearly every particular. And 1.05% of Americans provided 78% of all 2024 campaign contributions — a system that buys policy for the people who can afford to buy it.

The CGP Approach

Evidence-based reforms, not slogans. DOJ pattern-or-practice enforcement restored and made automatic. Qualified immunity ended by statute on the Colorado model. A federal commitment to closing the racial wealth gap through targeted investment. Treaty obligations honored as the supreme law Article VI says they are. Campaign finance reform with public matching, full real-time disclosure, and a ban on algorithmic micro-targeted political advertising.

The Outcome

A justice system that holds people accountable and gives them a path back. Treaties finally kept. A racial wealth gap that begins shrinking instead of growing. Elected officials who answer to the voters who elected them — not the donors who funded them.

Supreme Court Reform

The Supreme Court is the only branch of government with no term limits, no binding ethics code, and no meaningful accountability. 18-year terms. Binding ethics. Expand to 18 seats. Supermajority to overturn precedent.

Congressional Term Limits

82% of Americans support term limits. 12-year cap across both chambers, staggered so institutional knowledge is preserved. Representatives, not rulers. See also Issues #18 and #31.

Ethics in Politics

It should be against the law for elected officials to knowingly lie to the people they serve. 3-month campaign windows. Congressional housing so members can focus on governing. The job is legislating — not fundraising, not lying, not worrying about rent.
